I really appreciate you putting your business plan out. It is a good plan. I know that I have seen a plugin or two totally kill my blog. I am not a programmer but luckily I am not a technophobe and I can deal with a glitch or two if they are minor. A net newbie should avoid playing with plugins and css for sure.

@Annie… I agree. Mark and I are both saying the same thing from opposite ends of the string… just dive in and do it. His is dive in and don’t tweak. GOOD POINT!! Mine is dive in and tweak if you must. Either way… DIVE IN and WORK!!

I can relate to what you’re saying too. And I think the line between Mark’s thoughts and your thoughts is that paralyzing moment – the moment when you cross the line from doing something productive to doing something that’s distracting.

I’ve always been of the school of thought that it’s better to begin badly than not to begin at all.

in my comment I mentioned another downfall of playing with plugins is that you can accidentally break something or alter your url structure completely or get hacked (plugins aren’t the most secure thing out there) or bring your site to a crawl, or screw up the look of your site in a browser you don’t use (so you won’t know it’s broken) etc….. and who knows what else.

all of those things are bad for trying to make money online.

that was only one line out of a quite lengthy post however, that I only added because some newer people change layouts more than I change underwear and completely break their sites with too many plugins, bad plugins, slow plugins, etc.

all when their priority #1 should be content.
